JVC Everio GZ-MC500 5MP 3 CCD Camcorder on Amazon.com!

The JVC GZ-MC500 digital camcorder with 4GB built-in hard-drive and 5 mega pixel resolution was announced by JVC in February.

The GZ-MC500 creates images by dedicating a 1.33 (1.23 effective) mega pixel CCD to each color: red, green and blue. JVC's advanced prism optics and filter-less 3-CCD pixel shift technology quadruple the pixel count to 5 mega pixel stills. The new Everio records Video with 720 x 480/60 in the highest mode.
Features include: 16:9 video recording, 10x optical zoom, 200 digital zoom, 1.8 inch LCD screen and pop-up flash.
The JVC Everio GZ-MC200 was/is already cool. I own one, read the review. I am though a bit ticked off how quick JVC introduces the GZ-MC500, which has just so much more performance. At least it is still more expensive than the GZ-MC200.

Amazon.com offers the JVC Everio GZ-MC500 for pre-order at a price of $1,599.95 (MSRP: $1,799.95). The GZ-MC500 ships June 15th.
