Land Rover will unveil the LRX concept car at the Detroit Car Show in January 2008. The Land Rover LRX mixes SUV with a Coupe like the new BMW X6, which will be on sale in May and debut as production model at the Detroit Show.
The Land Rover LRX has a cool futuristic styling and is actually pretty compact for a Land Rover car.
The LRX has full-time four-wheel drive and Hill Descent Control, as well as a special version of Land Rover's acclaimed Terrain Response system.
But to reflect LRX's more on-road bias, Terrain Response also gains a new 'Eco' mode for lower emission urban driving.
To optimize weight the Land Rover LRX has side windows and roof made with polycarbonate, which is around 40% lighter.
For iPhone owners the LRX has a control for the LRX's iPhone docking facility.
The Land Rover LRX is a concept car and it will surely be years until this cool cross-coupe will be on sale.
