Apple has not yet commited to either of the two high definition video disc formats. Apple Insider reports that American Technology Research analyst Shaw Wu thinks Apple is set to begin shipping some of its computers with Blu-ray drives.
It could also be possible that Apple is using hybrid drives that play HD-DVD and Blu-ray to not get involved in the format wars.
Microsoft is on the Toshiba HD DVD side and Apple Boss Jobs is on the Blu-ray supporting Disney board - possibly reasons enough for Apple to go Blu-ray.
