Asus debuts the ASUS U2E with 32GB SSD notebook at the CES 2008.
The Asus U2E is an 11 inch 2lb all-in-one notebook featuring a 32GB solid state drive (SSD) and the LED back-lit screen.
The luxury Asus notebook features an integrated camera that uses one of the smallest lenses available. It is integrated in seamlessly into the U2E’s LCD panel.
For hands-free access, the webcam is complemented with the exclusive ASUS SmartLogon software that intelligently recognizes its rightful owner and grants access to the computer accordingly after a positive facial scan.
Asus is holding back the rest of the U2E specifications. Also their sites have been down all weekend. I guess they are relaunching their online presence for CES. This goes along with the idea that Asus is going to split into three companies: Pegatron, Unihan, and Asus.
CES 2008 will start officially on January 7th, but the first event is already on Saturday. We are in Las Vegas and will be covering the CES 2008 first hand.
