POSBRO, POSDATA’s subsidiary for mobile WiMAX device, announced the intention to launch mobile WIMAX online game business and devices in the United States today at CES 2008.
POSBRO already showed the FLYVO G100 portable game device at the WiMAX World USA in 2007.
The G100 will be rolling out via KT in Korea early this year. In the U.S. the G100 will be launching around the beginning of 4Q, 2008, or end of 1Q, 2009.
At the CES 2008 the G100 is demonstrated at the SPRINT booth with SPRINT’s XOHM Mobile WiMAX network.
I am not sure if WiMAX really will take off already in 2008. If it does the G100 looks like a nice device for it.
About POSBRO & POSDATA
POSBRO was founded in September 2006 and acquired by POSDATA as a strategic base camp for WiMAX hand-held device development and service integration upon it. The companies have been positioned as a total WiMAX solution provider in the market that covers mobile WiMAX base stations, ASN-gateways, network management systems and user devices. FLYVO is the brand name for POSDATA’s mobile WIMAX business.
