The computer will be available in March of 2008 and is heralded as the world’s lightest rugged PC. The system meets MIL-STD-810F and IP54 for durability and protection against dirt, dust, water, vibration and temperature.
The machine features an 8.4-inch touch screen and has optional mission boxes available that attach and allow it to perform specific duties like RFID, barcode reading and magnetic strip reading. The system runs on an Intel Stealey 512KN L2 cache processor running at 800MHz. No word on pricing at this time.
