Joikusoft announced its JoikuSpot software solution today that turns Symbian S60 smartphones into Wi-Fi hotspots for free. The software is available for download at no charge.

After installing the software S60 smartphones can share the 3G Internet connection wirelessly over any WLAN with any other compatible device like a laptop. When the software is on the Wi-Fi hotspot can be discovered by any WLAN equipped device.

Joikusoft say JoikuSpot can offer internet access on a train or bus without problems and is faster than a Bluetooth connection. The software is currently in beta version and can be downloaded at the link below.
