The ultra-slim Lenovo Thinkpad X300 leaked in January. Now Walter Mossberg from the WSJ let us feel envy giving us a preview of the Thinkpad X300 he got in his office for review.
Mr. Mossberg compares the X300 with the Apple MacBook Air and makes a point with the photo of the X300 standing on a manila envelope.
The new Thinkpad X300 sports a 13.3 inch LED backlit screen, Intel Merom Santa Rosa Dual Core CPU (2.0 Ghz / 880 Mhz ), a 64 GB SSD and up to 4GB RAM. Unlike the Air it has an integrated ultra-thin DVD drive. As an option you can also have an integrated mobile phone modem with GPS.
The Thinkpad X300 weighs 3.12 pounds.
The only downside of the X300 will be its price as it only comes with SSD storage option.
