The world’s first green dryer was launched recently at the International Builders’ Show. The dryer promises new technology that can speed clothes drying time up to 41% and reduces the energy consumption of the dryer up to 50%.
The dryer is the second most energy consuming appliance in the home and aren’t required to abide by energy standards. The technology is named the Dryer Miser and will be displayed publically for the first time at the show.
The dryer uses a specially engineered fluid to dry the clothes faster than traditional dryers. Exactly how a fluid can make clothes dry faster is unknown at this time. Information on pricing and availability are also unknown.
