BBC News says that BBC TV programs are now available on iTunes making BBC the first UK broadcaster to offer downloads via the Apple service. Some of the BBC programs available on iTunes include Torchwood and Spooks among others.

The BBC says that additional programs like Ashes to Ashes will be available via iTunes after they have aired on the BBC iPlayer service. The BBC says that its iPlayer is doing very well with 3.5 million shows streamed during the first two days after its launch.
"We want to give audiences a wide variety of options on how and where to view their favorite BBC shows," BBC Worldwide's Simon Danker said. “With more people now choosing to watch TV shows on their iPods, fans can now enjoy those shows wherever they are."
