The LCD screen on the camera is 3-inches and tilts for the ideal viewing angle when shooting. The LCD is also scratch resistant with a UV hard-coat finish for a premium look and feel. One of the best features of the camera is an improved advanced sports shooting mode. This mode allows for shutter speeds of up to 1/4000 of a second and utilizes continuous auto-focusing.
Other features include smile recognition and face detection with child or adult priority modes. A new feature is a D-Range Optimizer mode that applies high image correction for more detail in bright or dark shadows. NightShot mode allows the camera to shoot in low light and the cam features an IR remote. The DSC-H50 will be available in May for about $400.
