According to Corsair moving a 1.63GB file to a normal flash drive takes 358 seconds. Moving the same file to the Corsair Flash voyager GT takes 98 seconds. The drive also has an all rubber housing to protect against shock and is water resistant as well. TruEncryption software offers 256-bit AES security for data and the drive is covered with a 10-year warranty.
The 16GB Flash Voyager GT will carry a MSRP of $169.99. "People expect Corsair to deliver the highest performing products," said Jack Peterson, VP of Corporate Marketing at Corsair. "That's why our latest Flash Voyager GT offers both higher speeds and higher capacities than standard USB drives, making them ideal for discerning customers," added Peterson.
