ASUS showed off a new version of its very popular Eee PC at CeBIT called the Eee PC 900. The Eee 900 has a 8.9-inch display and uses an Intelmobile chipset and CPU. The 900 runs Linux OS, but can run Windows XP as well like the currently available 701.
Communication options for the 900 include 10/100 Ethernet and a 56K modem. Integrated Wi-Fi 802.11b/g is included as well. Internal memory for the system is 1GB DDR2-400 and graphics are handled by Intel UMA.
Storage capacity for the Eee PC 900 is up to 12GB of flash and the system includes an integrated 300k webcam. Audio from the new machine is Hi-Definition Audio CODEC and the machine has built-in speakers and a mic. The new Eee systems will be available in the UK and other select countries this year at 399 Euro each. Whether or not the U.S. is one of the select countries that will see this version of the Eee is unknown.

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
