SanDisk announced a new addition to its Sansa line of MP3 players today called the Sansa Fuze. The Fuze is slated to be available in early April. Three different versions of the Fuze will be offered.

The difference between the versions is the storage capacity offered. The Fuze 2GB is available in black; the 4GB will be available in black, red, pink or blue, and an 8GB version available in silver only. The players will retail for $79.99 for the 2GB, $99.99 for the 4GB, and $129.99 for the 8GB.

All the players have the same features including expandable memory via microSD/SDHC cards. Format compatibility is MP3, WAV, Audible, WMA and MPEG-4. JPEG photos are also supported. Subscription music services like Rhapsody, Napster and others are supported. The internal rechargeable battery is good for up to 24 hours of audio and 5 hours of video playback.
