It was reported last year that new Intel Atom Pineview CPUs are coming in fall of 2009. Digitimes confirms this rumor today quoting sources from netbook vendors.
The next generation Intel Atom CPU integrates a GPU and uses much less power. The Intel Pineview Atom CPU is based on 45nm technology and has built-in northbridge, memory controller, and integrated graphics processor. With the new Intel Tiger Point southbridge chip, the new Intel netbook platform codenamed Pine Trail-M is supposed to be lower priced than current platforms.
