I lovewine. It is not always easy though to get my hands on affordable and excellent wines from smaller wineries. A new start-up called RadCru is now connecting wine lovers with small wineries and making it a good deal for both sides.
RadCru offers everyday (during the beta phase, it is only offering 3 wines per week) a new wine from a selected winery with a special price. Today it is a 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate from the Graeser Winery.RadCru has partnered with the Inertia Beverage Group (press-release), which represents about 265 wineries. More details on the RadCru site.
Talking to a RadCru representative, he told me that their service is already a hit amongst Google employees. Nobody from Microsoft ordered yet. Is that telling us something about the differences in corporate culture? I guess it is to early to tell.
The one deal a day pioneerWoot also opened a wine deal per day recently. Their focus is not on small wineries though.

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
