We already prepared you for a new Sanyo Xacti camcorder yesterday. Now Sanyo unveiled the new Xacti CG9 camcorder not only in Japan but also in the United States.
The new Sanyo Xacti CG9 is positioned as an easy-to-use and affordable MP4 digital camcorder.
Features of the new CG9 include 9.1MP resolution, 5x optical zoom, 2.5 inch display, instant upload to YouTube, Facebook, MySpace and others, MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 format encoding, SDHC cards up to a capacity of 32GB supported, Face Chaser technology, and 40MB internal memory.
The Sanyo Face Chaser functionality recognizes and automatically focuses on up to 12 faces in each still image.
The new Sanyo Xacti CG9 is also Mac OS compatible. The digital camcorder works with Apple's full complement of video editing applications including the iMovie 08. You can edit your movies and add them to your website or YouTube for sharing or create versions for iPod, iPhone or the Apple TV.
Measurements of the CG9 are 2.9 W x 4.0 H x 1.5 D inches and the weight is 7 oz.
The SANYO Xacti CG9 will be available in the U.S.A. starting in mid-April 2008. Available in Silver or Black, the CG9 has an MSRP of $279.99. Japan gets the DMX-CG9 also in white and red. See photo below.
