Today the Amazon.com homepage is grazed by an open letter from Jeff Bezos that addresses the shortage of the Kindle e-book reader.
The letter says that Amazon sold out of Kindle readers in the first 5 1/2 hours and that they have shipped out Kindles on a first come first served basis since then. Customers had to wait for one to six weeks.
Mr. Bezos hopes to announce in the next few weeks that Kindle is back in stock and that it will ship to customers the same day.
I am just curious, like most people out there suspicious about the whole Kindle supply issue, how many Kindle ebook readers Amazon really shipped so far.
More details about Kindle can be found on Amazon.com.
