Dash Express Now Shipping

We first reported about the Dash Express on December 17th of 2007. The coolest part of the Dash Express is that the device is Internet connected. The big promise of the device is that it constantly updates traffic information that is provided by other Dash units in the area.

The pre-order price for the Dash Express last year was $599. Today Dash and Amazon announced that the Dash Express is now available for purchase on Amazon.com. Those who pre-ordered the device will be mad because Amazon is listing the Dash Express for only $399.99. It will ship on April 29th. Data plans for the device cost as little as $9.99 a month.

"With more and more customers visiting Amazon to research and buy GPS devices, our goal is to continue to offer a wide selection and exclusive access to the latest and greatest consumer technologies," said Paul Ryder, vice president of Consumer Electronics at Amazon.com. "GPS is one of the fastest-growing consumer electronics categories and we are pleased to be partnering with Dash to bring their next-generation solution to our customers."
