4/19/2001 07:17:20 AM 20 Gigs of MP3 Goodness…

Futurelooks writes:

The PJB100 Personal MP3 Jukebox offers up 20 Gigs of storage on a standard notebook drive. About the size of a paperback novel, this unit allows you to store all your high quality, 320kbps MP3's without losing the quality, and without the fear of running out of space like you would on some of the dinky little units out there using smaller (and expensive) flash and smartmedia cards. Here's a clip:
"The PJB100 MP3 Player uses a standard notebook hard drive. Notebook hard drive’s are known for their durability and shock resistance and thus is a logical choice for this application. The use of a notebook hard drive also allows you to get more bang for the buck because for the same $150 for a 64 Meg memory card, you could purchase a six or even ten “gigabyte” notebook hard drive. That means that instead of getting just 60 minutes of music, you can have up to 10,000 minutes of music, or 5,000 minutes of very high quality music that is indistinguishable from its CD source. This unit comes equipped with a 20-Gigabyte unit so that equates to about 20,000 minutes of regular quality, 128 kbps music."

The guys at futurelooks write:
If you're a Handspring fan, you'll love this. We've taken some of the most populars Springboard Expansion Modules and have Lassoed them together into a Springboard Module Round Up. Here's a clip: "When we reviewed the Handspring Visor Platinum, we mentioned excellent expandability of the unit via the Springboard Expansion Module built into the unit. But what good is ultra expandability if you don’t have anything to expand with? That is why we rounded up some of the cooler Springboard Expansion modules for the Handspring Visor and have put them together with our thoughts on each. Enjoy!"
