NaturalPoint is selling a alternative handsfree input system for PCs and Notebooks - the TrackIR device. The system works by optical tracking of a reflective dot users can stick onto their forehead. By looking at the desired position on the screen the system moves the mouse there. The device is on sale starting at 129USD. Sony introduces a new projector especially designed for home theater. The Sony Cineza (VPL-HS1) projects 60" to 150" screens at 4:3 or 16:9 formats. The Cineza Projector is the first video projector for the home with Side Shot feature. This allows for placing the projector on an angle to the screen. The cooling fan is extra quite on 30dB, which is important for home usage. It also features a memory stick port to view digital photos directly. List price is 2,999USD.
Sony is introducing a DVD Walkman this November in Japan. The inventor of the Walkman is taking DVD portability to the next level with this gadget. The Screen can be disconnected from the player itself. The Headsets are powered by Sony's virtual surround sound to enjoy the Dolby5.1 sound on the run. The player can be also connected to a TV. No price set yet.
Panasonic introduces the Toughbook 01. This WindowsCE PDA is especially protected and aimed at industrial use. It is drop shock, moisture and scratch resistent. It also is wireless ready, features a color display and has a built in keyboard.

Sharp is offering a new super-thin Notebook. In the US it will be known under PC-UM10. Its already available in Japan under the product name Sharp Mebius MT1. Its only 0.65inch thick, 11.9inch long and 9.1inch wide. It weighs 2.89pounds. Nice edge: the keyboard is coming up a little when opening the notebook. The US price for the Notebook starts at 1,999USD.
