Walmart surprises with deep discounted iPhone 5 deal.
The Holiday shopping season 2012 is soon coming to an end. Walmart has just launched a big surprise deal on the new AppleiPhone 5. Instead of the $189.97 Walmart normally charges for the latest iPhone, you only pay $127 right now for the iPhone 5 on contract with either of the available three carriers.
The iPhone 5 deal will be available for 30 days in 3,000 Walmart stores. The iPhone 5 is not sold online by Walmart, so you have to visit a store to get the $127 iPhone 5 deal.
According to Reuters the big iPhone 5 discount has been arranged with Apple. Discounts on the latest iPhone generation are rare. Best Buy has offered the iPhone 5 at a $50 discount for the past week. Walmart is beating their deal by $23.
It looks like Apple is looking to accelerate iPhone 5 sales. They might have stalled in the US. These new deals should trigger a big spike in iPhone 5 sales close to the end of 2012.

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
