AMD Radeon HD 8000M GPU Rumored to Debut at CES 2013

Rumors are circulating that AMD is set to unveil a new mobile GPU at CES 2013. Mobile GPU is tipped to be the Radeon HD 8000M. Hard details of the GPU at this point are unavailable, but it is expected have support for DirectX 11.1, OpenGL 4.3, and OpenCL 1.2.

The GPUs are said to be built on 28nm process by Global Foundries and TSMC. Estimates expect the GPU launch sometime in Q2 of 2013 after being unveiled in early January.

That's all the details we have on the GPU right now since this is a relatively fresh rumor. It would be no surprise to see a new GPU family launched at CES 2013 along with lots of notebooks being shown off by various manufacturers using the new GPU to launch in Q2 of next year.
