With CES 2013 underway, new product announcements are coming constantly. Withings has announced a new version of its Internet connected scale called the Smart Body Analyzer. The product promises to be the first Internet connected scale the table to monitor health and environment through heart rate measurement in air quality monitoring.
The scale is designed to connect to a smartphone or your computer via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Readings can be stored in shared with the physician, dietitian, or other people via Twitter or Facebook. The scale has integrated temperature and carbon dioxide meters allowing it to monitor the air quality in its surrounding environment.
The scale can be paired with IOS or Android devices via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. The scale features Position Control technology to increase the accuracy of measurements. The scale can also measure fat mass using athlete and non-athlete modes. The scale also has heart rate measurement capability and gets power from four AAA batteries. The scale will launch in Q1 of 2013 for $149.95.
