Panasonic unveils new wearable HD resolution camcorder at CES 2013. This camcorder is designed with a long cable that mounts the camera lens on a helmet or a backpack. The camera also has an ear hook that allows the user to wear the camera for recording. The camera is IPX8 rated and water resistant up to 5 feet deep for up to 30 min. at a time.
The camera is also dustproof and has integrated Wi-Fi connectivity. The integrated Wi-Fi connectivity makes it possible to broadcast live streaming video via Ustream in full HD resolution. The Wi-Fi connectivity also makes it easy to share video with smartphones or tablets.
The camera is capable of recording full HD resolution at 60 frames per second, 720p resolution at 120 frames per second, and 640 x 360 resolution video at 240 frames per second. The camera also features technology to help cut wind noise. The internal battery is good for 140 min. of recording per charge and the camera can be pre-ordered now for $299.99.
