Axe Super Bowl 2013 Ad is a First

For the first time since its U.S. launch in 2002, AXE, the No. 1 men’s grooming brand in the U.S. (excluding shaving hardware), will air a 30-second Super Bowl 2013 ad. The Axe Super Bowl 2013 Ad is titled “Lifeguard,” and includes a twist at the end that aligns with a larger creative campaign scheduled for a January 2013 launch.

“As a lifestyle brand synonymous with innovative products and marketing, we are always pushing boundaries into uncharted territories,” said Gaston Vaneri, Brand Director for AXE. “We have some extraordinary news to announce in 2013, taking our interaction with our fans to new heights, so the Super Bowl became the obvious platform to share it with the world.”

Axe is right now making headlines with their Axe Apollo Space Academy. You can win one of 22 space trips with the Space Expedition Corporation (SXC) by joining Buzz Aldrin's Apollo Space Academy. SXC, led by CEO Michiel Mol, operates XCOR Aerospace’s Lynx suborbital space plane that takes passengers more than 100 kilometers into space, achieving astronaut status.

To celebrate the first-ever Axe Super Bowl Ad visitors to AXEApollo.com will have a special chance to enter for a chance to win a bonus ticket to space, skipping the local challenges and space camp. After Feb. 3, U.S. fans will still have the opportunity to join A.A.S.A. and enroll for a chance to be randomly selected to go to space camp and space alongside their peers from around the globe.

It is likely that the Axe Super Bowl 2013 Ad will be about the new Axe Apollo fragrance.
