7 Ultrabooks under $700

It’s a new year, and with it, new pricing trends are appearing across the retail space. We’ve seen 18% drops on average in price movements across all “Ultrabooks” classified laptops. Unsurprisingly, most are with Windows 8, as manufacturers do everything they can to get a faster adoption rate for MSFT’s new operating system.

Some of these Ultrabooks are reaching budget laptop pricing territory, like the Lenovo U310 now selling for $450. There was even a deal on the high-end Samsung Series 9 at $699 (albeit with 2nd gen CPU) just a few days ago on Amazon, a machine that used to retail for well over $1,200 when first released.

If you’re in the market for a new laptop and looking for something thin and lightweight with decent boot time and a balance between performance and battery life, here are 7 Ultrabooks under $700.

Dell Inspiron 15z Ultrabook Core i3-3217U for $699

HP Envy 6 Ultrabook Core i5-3317U for $634.99

Toshiba Satellite Ultrabook Core i3-3217U for $549.99

Vizio Thin + Light 14-inch Ultrabook Core i3-3217U for $629.99

Asus VivoBook Touchscreen Ultrabook Core i5-3317U for $649

Lenovo IdeaPad U310 Core i3-3217U for $449.99

HP Envy 4 Ultrabook Core i3-2377M for $634.99
