Watch the Controversial VW Super Bowl 2013 Ad

The Volkswagen Super Bowl 2013 Ad is still discussed controversial over the Jamaican accent. Is it racist? Jamaicans do not think so. The VW Superbowl ad reached over 8 million views online in Youtube, far behind Volkswagen former Super Bowl ad hits like mini Darth Vadar. Watch the funny VW commercial below. The Volkswagen Super Bowl 2013 commercial is set in a typical office with a "case of the Mondays." Enter Dave and his newfound sunny disposition (that manifests itself in a curious way), all thanks to the his new 2013 Volkswagen Beetle. Get in. Get happy says Volkswagen.

The VW Super Bowl 2013 Ad is in direct correspondence the VW teaser ad that also was cheering up Youtube stars. The VW teaser is though a viral failure and has only 600,000 views. Compare that to over 5 million that the Mercedes Kate Upton Super Bowl Ad Teaser has generated so far. Volkswagen is now betting on its actual Super Bowl 2013 Ad to generate the pre Super Bowl social hype. Let's see how it does.

My take is that the VW Super Bowl 2013 Ad is funny, but not hilarious or totally out there, but watch the ad below and decide for yourself.

About the Geek Mind

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.

The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
