The MWC 2013 (Mobile World Congress) starts on February 25 in Barcelona. Apple never attends the MWC, but it always is a big topic among attendees. Will Apple reveal a new product before MWC to stir up the MWC or will the company stay quite.
Apple has been in a lot of pressure from media and stock market lately. The expectations from Apple are extremely high. Everybody expects something new and big this year. The only thing Apple has released so far in 2013 is a 128GB iPad. Apple's competitors in mobile space come together on February 25 in Barcelona at the Mobile World Congress 2013 (MWC 2013).
In the last years Apple was the talk on the show floor despite not being there. How will it be this year? If Apple is not announcing a new product or schedule an announcement I think Apple will not have much impact at the MWC 2013.
A new Apple mobile device such as a phablet, low-cost iPhone or full OS X tablet would change that in a heart beat.

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
