Ford Updates MyFord Mobile App with Charging Locations
Ford has announced an update with mobile application that is specifically aimed at drivers of its plug-in electric vehicles. Ford has added important new information to its MyFord Mobile smartphone application. That new information is a complete listing from the PlugShare crowdsourced database for charging locations around the country.
This database includes all the locations for charging stations operated by ChargePoint and Blink. However, the application will provide the location of any charging station no matter who owns it entered by users. The app also allows users to upload pictures, post reviews, and make check-ins at the charging station.
The new feature is accessed using the "station finder" component of the mobile application. The app will also provide point of interest search allowing users to find restaurants and other businesses close to charging stations. The app update also brings the ability for drivers to log their trips and track efficiency.
