Netflix and DreamWorks Animation to Launch New Original Series for Kids
Netflix has announced that it has signed up with DreamWorks Animation to create the very first Netflix Original Series for kids. The series will be based on the highly anticipated DreamWorks animation movie called Turbo set to debut in theaters this summer. The Netflix series will be called Turbo: F.A.S.T. and will debut exclusively this December.
The show will be available in the United States and all other 40 countries that Netflix serves. When Turbo hits theaters it will be a 3-D comedy film about a normal snail that is involved in a freak accident and gains super-speed. The film has big-name actors attached for voice talent.
The moving stars Ryan Reynolds, Paul Giamatti, Michael Pena, Luis Guzman, Bill Hader, Richard Jenkins, Ken Jeong, Michelle Rodriguez, Maya Rudolph, Ben Schwartz, Kurtwood Smith, Snoop Lion and Samuel L. Jackson. The movie will end in theaters on July 19, 2013.
