Sony PlayStationfans are awaiting the big unveiling of the PlayStation 4 today on February 20. The PS4 event is just hours away. Sony has announced a PlayStation event for Wednesday, but refrained from officially confirming that the PS4 will be revealed. All signs are though pointing towards Sony revealing the PlayStation 4 this today. The sale is expected to start this fall.
Sony has published videos that summarize the history of the PlayStation and PlayStation games to set the stage for the PS4. Sony entered the video game market in 1994 with the original PlayStation.
The Sony PS4 is likely offering full cloud gaming integration. This means you can "stream" games. Sony bought Gaikai last year which offers such a platform. Additionally the Sony PS4 is expected to feature a touchscreen gaming controller. The console hardware is moving away from the CELL CPU and adopts an AMD chip with rumored 8 cores. Also the graphics are supposed to be powered by AMD. The latest rumors say that the PS4 will be priced rather low to jump start sales.

Sony PS4 to stream PS3 Games for Backward Compatibility
A lot of discussion is right now a day ahead of the Sony PS4 unveiling about backward compatibility. All rumors point to Sony offering up PS3 games and even PS2 games through cloud streaming. The problem is though that games cannot be streamed in hi-res (1080p) consistently. As Sony is all about high performance this is an issue.

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
