New Dodge Challenger Tipped for 2014 New York Auto Show

If you're a fan of American muscle cars, you may be familiar with the Dodge Challenger. The car is available in several forms including one with over 400 hp under the hood. The problem with the car for many muscle car fans is the fact that it is a giant with a weight of over 4000 pounds.

It takes a lot of power to move 4000 pounds making the Challenger one of the worst handling modern muscle cars out there. SRT design chief Ralph Gilles said during the New York International Auto Show that Dodge would be unveiling a new Challenger at the show in 2014.

Gilles said that the new Challenger would be "the answer" to Ford and Chevrolet. He was specifically speaking of the new Camaro Z/28. I would assume more power and significant weight reduction are in store if he wants to make good on that promise.

About the Geek Mind

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.

The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
