$200 Windows 8 Tablets Come this Holiday Shopping Season

Intel revealed today that the upcoming new Atom CPU "Bay Trail" will enable manufacturers to offer $200 Windows 8 tablets. This would be a big step for Microsoft to gain finally some momentum in the tablet space.

The $200 Windows 8 tablets will likely have 7-inch screens, larger sizes at this price point would have to be subsidized.

The new Atom CPU is supposed to be the most powerful Atom CPU so far and will allow tablet designs to be only 8mm thin. Battery should last all day on Bay Trail tablets.

Let's hope Intel is correct with their prediction.
