Netflix is ready to rumble! The superb streaming service is offering an $11.99 Family Plan. The good thing is that it now has up to four simultaneous streams. Previously, there were only two. In other words, it is all set to expand its role. It is indeed a radical change and will galvanize Netflix users like never before.
Currently, the choices on Netflix are rather limited. There is the alternative of streaming two movies or TV shows from diametrically opposed gadgets. But the firm’s administration has something in store for its fans. What was supposed to be final is not the be-all-and-end-all of existence. A four stream service is being considered for display and public consumption. This is a double digit change from the two stream rule. According to The Verge it is available for a mere $11.99 of stashed cash in some ordinary bloke’s wallet.
The CEO, Reed Hastings as well as the CFO, David Wells elaborated by saying that few members with large families run into their limit. They furthermore spoke of how in order to best serve these members a 4 stream plan was going to be added shortly. However, it comes as somewhat of a surprise that only 1% of Netflix clients will avail this opportunity. Though the obvious benefits of this magnanimous family feature cannot be stressed enough, most customers are willing to remain stuck in their comfort zone. They want to keep going at the same subscription rates and seem at peace with the status quo.
However, this is not so with the rest of the computer freaks. These include those who lend their family members and best friends access to their account data. For them this new feature comes as a Godsend and a blessing. The progressive path undertaken by the techno-savvy crowd says a resounding “yes” to all innovation.
It often happens that change is first vehemently opposed. Then it is vilified and grudgingly allowed. Finally, after some time has passed, it is embraced with energy and enthusiasm. Every idea at the beginning is a blasphemy of sorts. It is only at the very late stage that it turns into tradition and becomes obsolete. The youth of the world turn to Netflix for their entertainment and infotainment needs. They own the future. And the future belongs to the future itself.
