Mozilla released Firefox OS Simulator 3.0

Mozilla has just launched its final version 3.0 of Firefox OS Simulator. This is a test version for Firefox OS with newly added features of rotation and geolocation simulation. While it takes less time to startup with reduced download/installation size and.

Mozilla has released its final version of Firefox OS Simulator 3.0. This announcement is done on Thursday through official blog of Mozilla Hacks. Preview of version 3.0 is already released 6 weeks before, in March. Now you can test your apps through it feels like using the Firefox OS environment itself. This version is very easy to install.

This is the latest version of Gaia and Firefox OS that have faster workflow speed. It also allows user to customize, reintsall or restart current app just using a keyboard shortcut. 

Keyboard shortcuts used to shut down the simulator are 

  • Alt + F4 on Windows, 
  • Cmd + Q on Mac, and 
  • Ctrl + Q on Linux.

It also supports push to device with rotating displays. Also provides geolocation API simulation for testing location-aware apps.
