Amazon has officially launched its Android App Store in China today. Amazon is no small-time bit-sized player. It occupies a major role as need fulfiller #1 on the scene. Recently, in what appeared to be a new tactic, it decided to launch an app store along with a developer website in China. This will have short term consequences and long term consequences both for Amazon and the Chinese. Its website is in Chinese and will be available soon in over 200 nations worldwide.
Todays's Sina Tech report stated so clearly that the app store will be a more appealing option for the Chinese rather than Google Play. One obvious reason for this is that it is easily within reach. Then there is the free and congenial milieu. Finally, a global clientele pool and desirable profit sharing scheme will ensure the continued survival of this feature.
Amazon has an optimistic view of its App Store. The company said that Amazon App Store can have advantages while comparing to the Google Play Store. "An open, friendly environment: Compared with the Google Play store, Amazon is more open and friendly. Google's advertising business model destined to it and some merchants settled in the Google Play conflict and utilized "final interpretation". For example, previously Flash games provider Kongregate expelled. Amazon as a third-party application store, the less likely this happens."
Up until now China had been excluded from the list of countries which comprised Google’s major customers. The app store Google offers includes Kindle service, electronic texts to read, messaging devices, as well as such extremely popular video games like Angry Birds.
