Lotto Mistake Causes Mom to Win $14 Million

As a hard worker and mother of four sons, Thuan Le couldn’t have dreamt of what lay in her future. Her Lotto ticket turned out to be the piece of paper that would win her $14 million. It is officially announced by the calottery that this was the jackpot and she had won it! Mrs Thuan Le got so worked up after she discovered that she had won that she literally fled the store making a lot of noise. This was reminiscent of the philosopher who ran through the streets shouting “Eureka” at the top of his lungs. What actually led to her winning the super prize was a chance occurrence. She had regularly bought Lotto tickets. One day she hd $1 left over and so she decided to buy another just on a whimsical note.  This proved to be her lucky day.

When a loved one went to get the results she informed Le of the fact that they matched her numbers. She was very excited and hollered the fact loud and clear for everybody to hear. Thuan Le informed her sons and one of them arrived and took her to the store to reconfirm the good news. All her sons were skeptical at first. They thought this was some kind of a practical joke on her part. But after a while they realized that it was the truth. It was a picture of one large happy family after this. Thuan Le has decided to become a tourist, buy a new residence and visit her native country, Vietnam. There is so much she wants to do now that she has won the lottery. And to imagine the fact that she won it all on the basis of a last minute decision.

She had bought her ticket from a Lotto machine at the CVS Pharmacy based in Orange County, California. Thuan Le had inadvertently slipped an extra dollar into the vending machine. She had at the last moment decided to buy another extra Powerball Ticket. It had turned out to be the mega number 26 which won her the humongous amount of $14 million. It just goes to prove that a simple lucky accident can win one a Lotto jackpot. So all those who think they will never win ought to keep their fingers crossed. Like Thuan Le they may have the serendipity to find hidden gold among the dust!
