Special Texas Edition is only available in the Lone Star State
When it comes to selling trucks in the United States, Texas is hugely important to just about every automotive manufacturer builds a truck. In fact GM says that one out of every six trucks it sells is sold in Texas. Therefore, it's only fitting the Texas gets its own special edition of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado.

The special edition is called the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado Texas Edition and where special chrome badges calling out a special stature. It also has special 20-inch wheels, along with chrome door handles and rear caps. The truck will use the available 5.3-liter V8 producing 355 hp capable of getting 23 miles per gallon.
The Texas Edition also gets an integrated trailering package, a locking rear differential, body color outside mirror caps, and more. The same package will be offered in all 49 other states minus the Texas Edition badges. In the other states, the truck will be known as the Custom Sport package.
