Samsung Publishes Controversial Samsung Evolution Kit Viral Video

The Samsung Evolution Kit upgrades your 2012 Samsung Smart TV with the features and performance of the 2013 generation. The Evolution Kit goes on sale this month. To promote the kit Samsung released an online video playing heavily on male stereotypes. The story goes that the wife imagines to be able to put an evolution kit in her sloppy and disgusting husband. The video has its funny moments. It already garnered over 1.6 million views, but also got lots of criticizing comments from men that do not like the way Samsung depicts male stereotypes. Assuming that men are actually the customer target group, it is a bit weird that Samsung thinks such a video will help selling the SEK-1000. Watch the Samsung Evolution Kit video below.

About the Geek Mind

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.

The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
