CW TV Network has introduced a new app that will Apple TV users to watch its streamed shows. CW is the very first TV network that introduced a TV app for viewers watch shows directly on the set-top box.
CW TV Network President, Mark Pedowitz, announced to launch a direct CW TV Now app during the CW presentation. This new app will allow viewers of Apple TV, Xbox and Windows to watch its streaming shows. The CW TV Now network app is available to download for free from App Store.
Now Apple TV viewers can watch live streaming shows directly on the set-top box. No intermediate service is required now that is necessary to watch shows on Apple TV via Netflix or Hulu.
According to Deadline, Pedowitz said that, “This year we’re reaching more viewers on more platforms.” He also stated that CW is getting more than 20% of its audience from digital sources. Hence CW “will continue to make it as easy for you [to advertise] on every platform we’re on now and in the future.”
Apple TV viewers can now watch full length episodes of almost all prime time shows like Vampire Diaries, The Carrie Diaries, 90210, Gossip Girl, and Arrow. But complete details of the partnership between CW TV network and Apple TV are not yet revealed.
