Sean Parker staged his wedding at Big Sur. Problem was this is environmental protected area and he did not have the permits. Money is not an issue though and the huge fine actually turns into something good for Big Sur.

The California Coastal Commission has announced that they reached an agreement with Sean Parker. He staged an elaborate fantasy wedding at Big Sur with Alexandra Lenas. Think Lord of the Rings. The area is protected and Parker did not have the permits to use it for a wedding. The wedding still took place, but both sides settled on a $2.5 million financial contribution to Big Sur conservation.

Sean Parker said: "We always dreamed of getting married in Big Sur, one of the most magical places on earth. In continuing my foundation's mission, we are excited to support these important conservation-related projects for and with the local community."
