Samsung says that the Galaxy S4 Active is "designed to enhance life experiences of the active user who wants to stay connected while exploring environments from the most rugged mountain trails to the roughest rivers."
Although that's a long statement to grasp, what Samsung wants really is to offer is a Galaxy S4 that has an extra protective design. The Galaxy S4 Active is IP67-qualified and is dust and water-resistant.
The design, according to Samsung, keeps dust particles out while protecting it against water damage for up to 30 minutes of submergence at a depth of one meter. The earphone jack is even water-resistant.
Under the hood is a 1.9GHz quad-core processor and a 2,600mAh battery. It also sports a 5-inch screen and an 8-megapixel rear camera. The Samsung Galaxy S4 Active will be avialable this summer and will coming in Urban Grey, Dive Blue and Orange Flare color flavors.
