Windows 8.1 screenshots reveal redesigned Xbox Music and new apps

Windows 8.1 Preview is already due for release next week, yet we are now beginning to see actual screenshots of the update, with a slew of improvements, particularly the new Xbox music app.

Beta user Bavo Luysterborg sent screenshots of Windows 8.1 on Twitter earlier today. Interestingly, the images reveal a new user interface for Xbox Music including a panel that seems to improve music discovery in the app.

The screenshots also revealed new apps such as a calculator, sound recorder, reading list, help and tipcs, and an app called movie moments. The Windows Store appears to be getting some improvements as well, including descriptions and better user interface.
