iPhone 5 gamepad controller caught in the wild

Not to be outdone with Android's new brood of gamepads from third-party manufacturers like MOGA, Apple is reportedly prepping up a gamepad it can call its own.

Gaming site Kotaku claims it has seen and held a gamepad specifically made for the iPhone 5. Kotaku goes on to speculate that Logitech is the manufacturer of the accessory.

Although the image above seems to raise more questions than answers, the gamepad is reportedly authentic. If it's true, we're wondering if previous iPhone models are supported as well.

Guess we'll have to find it out later this year, when Apple finally releases iOS 7 to the public. iOS 7, as you know, will introduce third-party controller support. Exciting times indeed.
