Tesla Recall announced

Tesla recalls select Tesla Model S cars.

Tesla is announcing that it will do a partial recall on a few Model S electric cars manufactured between May 10, 2013 and June 8, 2013.

The reason for the sudden announcement is due to the company's recent findings that some Model S cars, made during the period, had a weaker mounting bracket for the left hand latch on the second row seat.

Tesla discovered that due to body side alignment adjustments, the affected section was compromised and weakend. Although no owners were complaining about it, Tesla emphasized the need to do a partial recall to uphold the company's safety standards.

Owners of the affected cars will be contacted by Tesla in the following days. The company assured that it will pick up the electric cars from the owners and will return them within a few hours after the fix.
