Shanghai based GEAK has offered a new wearable device of its own to give NFC powers to your finger. It has launched its all new GEAK Ring that enables your finger to unlock your phone and share contact details without typing. This device also remained active while being remain on same finger. Actually the GEAK's technology is based on NFC that stores all the customer data and its actual identity. Then by accessing this stored data with help of NFC power, it allows users to perform functions of unlocking and sharing. But this method is not that secured as data stored is rewritable.
GEAK Ring is currently support only its own devices of GEAK Eye and GEAK Mars that are launched along with it on same day. But the Chinese company is going to add its ring support for other devices like Xiaomi, Oppo and Samsung. This collaboration will be launched in coming November.
GEAK will start accepting pre-orders for these amazing new rings on 8th August as reported by Engadget. The price tag set is $30. While buyers in China have to pay ¥199 to give their fingers NFC power.
