Besides Microsoft, other gaming companies are ready to hear the voice of their valued consumers. NVIDIA is about to offer a $50 discount on its Shield Console. The offer will be valid at its launch which is set for June 27th.
Like Microsoft, NVIDIA too loves to get some feedback from its user base. Thus everything about its Shield Console has been in accordance with the tastes and preferences of hundreds of gamers who just can’t get enough of the cool device. In conventions like E3, the comment cards came on fast and with alacrity from the fans. And so it was that in synch with the wishes of its game boys NVIDIA dropped $50 off its cost price for the Shield Console. Now it will sell for $299 instead of the previously decided rate of $349 as announced officially.

The sensation seekers have praised NVIDIA for this generosity of spirit. Incorporating the Tegra 4 microprocessor in its makeup, the device will be a combo that is manually operable and brimming with electronic energy in the small space of its solid frame. NVIDIA graphics array and Steam’s Big Picture Mode will combine forces to stream such exciting games as Borderlands 2 as well as Skyrim. The date decided for the debut of this device is June 27th which is just a week away from today. The price when compared with foreign gaming consoles is just right since it hits the sweet spot between a Playstation Vita and a Playstation 4. It is $50 more than the former and $100 less than the latter placing it in a midrange selling price bracket.
In bygone times, NVIDIA transformed the device as far as its hardware was concerned. The design too got radically modified as per the wishes of developers and fans. But today the price too has been slashed to satisfy the gaming crowd. In fact, the company may just have scored a home run with its clientele via this smart move which though costly in the short term will pay dividends in the long run. The handheld devices will start coming off the conveyor belts of NVIDIA’s factories soon.
The story here bears an uncanny resemblance to Microsoft’s relaxation of rules surrounding its Xbox One. Like Bill Gates’ organization, NVIDIA too took the criticism from its consumers constructively and made self-improvements along the way. Today it has the gaming console market in a stir thanks to its super-interesting devices that sell for quite a profit in the economic ocean of dollars and cents.
