Just because Windows 8.1 is coming doesn't mean Microsoft will abandon Windows 8. In fact, Microsoft is still agreessive in updating Windows 8 and the apps that come along with it.
Today's update is focused on the Music app for Windows 8. Microsoft is now adding a search button at the top right corner of the app that lets users search for music directly on both the PC and Xbox Music. That's not all.
Microsoft is also giving Windows 8 users access to Xbox Music's free ad-supported streaming service. Windows 8 users can now enjoy listening up to 15 songs without having to sign in. Of course, users can still listen to millions of songs for free, but expect the ads to show up.
Lastly, today's update brings a slew of fixes and enhancements. For all Windows 8 users out there, make sure to install the latest update.

The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
