Digg has officially announced to open its Reader service for public on Friday. Digg reader web and iOS apps are opened, while its android app is coming next soon. Digg team has being testing its Google Reader replacement service from previous one week as stated in official announcement. Digg team has already crawled 4.5 million RSS feeds and found that the site is stable and speedy.

Yet there are a few features that Digg still needs to add in its Reader. There should be an option of “View Unread Items Only” for feeds and a button of “Mark As Unread”. While unread counts are also needed to be accurate. The company is aiming to add these features soon.
